I'm getting ready to drive my 2010 Forester from Jacksonville, FL to Moab in October. How far did you make it on the White Rim road, and do you think I should dare attempt such a feat with 15" std all-purpose tires, a manual transmission, and 8.7" of ground clearance? On that note... do you know of any other great off-roading I can do in the area with my Subi? (Also, your tale reminds me a trip to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon with my father...)
